Why have a wedding video?
With a wedding film, you will be able to relive not just the images of your special day but, also all the emotions that come with experiencing of one of the most important days of your life, the laughter and the tears, your wedding vows, the heartfelt speeches, and, in the future, what better way to share your wedding day with your children and grandchildren.
I have a friend or relative who has offered to film my wedding.
With respect, there is a vast difference between consumer eqiupment and, professional equipment, would you be happy with just an average quality reminder of your day? can you be sure that you would not end up with a shaky, out of focus film that you would only want to watch once, would the vows and speeches be crystal clear?
Do they have the professional editing equipment to produce a high quality film?
Time and again we hear people saying "I wish we had hired a videorapher at our wedding", besides, your guests are just that, guests, should they really be missing out on the sharing of your big day.
You only have one chance to capture all the important events of your day, please don't leave it to chance.
We are having a photographer; why do we need video as well?
Still photography will capture highlights and moments, but only video lets you relive the full emotions that you felt during your wedding day. As the years pass by, only film will let you relive the sights and sounds of your day in glorious detail.
Will our wedding be available on DVD?
Yes, in fact, video cassettes are rapidly becoming a thing of the past, also, the quality is so much better on DVD.
Can I choose the music for our video?
Yes of course, your choice of music makes the film even more personal to you both but, if you prefer, your music can be chosen for you, the choice is yours.
Will our wedding be like a film set?
Many people comment on how little we were noticed during the making of their wedding film, we are well practiced at remaining unobtrusive and, this is the way it should be, we are there to capture the events of the day as it happens, not direct you with endless requests.
Do you use bright lights?
No. Our cameras work very well in low light conditions. Only on very rare occasions do we use lighting, which, if needed, are very low powered on camera lights, as previously stated, we prefer to remain unobtrusive wherever possible.
How long will the completed DVD run for?
Each wedding is different, so it is impossible say how long your film will be, between 60 and 90 minutes is the average length, sometimes more, but, you can be sure we will capture and edit the entire day in a way that will keep you interested throughout. With a production of this length, it is also easier to show to friends and family.
When will the finished DVD be delivered to us?
The editing is where the magic happens to create your special film and we like to spend the necessary time to get it right. We aim to deliver your film within six weeks of the wedding, although at peak times, this could be longer.
Can we be involved in the editing?
Your wedding film takes many hours to edit, and, it would just not be practcal for you to be involved in this procedure however, your input is welcomed if you have any special requests.
Can we see examples of your work?
Yes, of course. There are some samples on this website, (these are reduced resolution for web purposes) and we will be happy to meet with you without obligation, to show you some full resolution samples or full weddings. Please use the contact page to submit the details of your event. If we are not already booked for that date I will be happy to meet with you to discuss your needs.
Can I have all the original recordings afterwards?
Yes of course you can, we just ask for a small additional fee for this. However, please bear in mind that the editing process is designed to highlight the best from the recorded footage and by contrast you will be receiving unedited footage.
Will you be professional in appearance?
Absolutely, you can be sure that we will blend in with other guests. We take great pride in presenting ourselves with care.
How personal will our video be?
Every part of your wedding film is created for you, We are not a production line for wedding videos. Just as you are a unique couple, your wedding video will be uniquely created for you.
Do you require a booking fee for your services?
Yes, a booking fee of £200 is required at the time of booking, this booking fee reserves the day for you and only you, we only undertake one wedding for each date. The remaining balance is required at least 21 days before the event date. The booking fee is non-refundable and, will be deducted from your final balance.
Why are you more expensive than some other wedding videographers?
We pride ourselves on providing a top quality service, there are cheaper ways to record your wedding, for instance, there are cameras available that allow the operator to edit as you record. To produce a high quality video, this is not satisfactory, also, we use two cameras to film the ceremony and speeches to give added perspective to the final production, the footage from these two cameras are combined in the editing process, as with most other things, you really do get what you pay for.
I am nervous about cameras!
Don't worry. You will have many other things to occupy you, you will hardly notice we are there, it is our job is to make you both look as good as possible so that you look forward to reliving the day with your friends and family.
Our ceremony venue restricts video cameras, is that a problem?
We will always strive to obtain the best possible position for our cameras but, we must also respect the wishes of the officiate presiding over your ceremony, we find that most are happy once assured that we will treat the proceedings with respect.
Will you attend the rehearsal?
If at all possible, yes, although this cannot be guaranteed. If circumstances make it impossible for us to attend then we will make sure that we have all the necessary information to make our side of things go smoothly on the day.
Should we provide the operators with a meal?
Whilst this would be appreciated so we didn't have to leave the venue, it is your decision, we understand that providing refreshments to all of the people involved in your day is sometimes just not practical.
Can you record best wishes from our guests?
Absolutely! All we ask is that you notify us beforehand, we will then set aside some time to enable your guests to give their best wishes.
How early do we need to book your services?
Simply stated, the earlier the better, as dates fill up quickly and we only undertake one wedding on any given day. Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can you travel?
We are prepared to travel anywhere in the U.K. (subject to availability and travel expenses) or abroad (Maldives would be nice)
